Whats New?

January 15, 2024

2023 was a tough year for film production, due to the longest actors' strike in Hollywood history (118 days). Nonetheless, I was able to shoot four movies: “Grandma” by Bobby Canipe, “Side Effects May Vary” by JR Bookwalter, an amazing remake of “Spider Baby” by Dustin Ferguson, and “A Blood Moon Rising” by Justin Smith. In the latter, I played an 1860’s Western frontier doctor who has to deal with werewolves… such fun! I also acted in a wonderful short film called “The Night Jane Went Insane” by Zach Lorkiewicz. You can watch it for free here. I did a lot of traveling in 2023, appearing as a guest at 10 conventions and film festivals. Kansas City's Etheria Festival honored me with a prestigious “Inspirational Female Filmmaker” award, presented to me in person by Joe Bob Briggs. I was also honored at a Chicago film festival that screened “Slumber Party Massacre” and I gave a long talk afterwards. The “Valley Relics Museum” in Los Angeles installed a big new display case with props from “Spider Baby” (2023), woohoo! In late 2024, look for a new book titled “Video Memories” by Stephen Jones, in which I contributed a few pages about the 1980’s VHS revolution.

Greetings! I'm happy to report that 2022 was a very productive year for me. I acted in ten movies, including "Smart House", "Closet Monster", "Don't Trick or Treat Alone", "Hellfire", "How to Murder Your Co-workers", "Liza", "Beneath the Gates of Hell", "Nightmare Collection 2", and "Hands of Destiny". I also directed my first feature film, "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama 2", a long-awaited sequel to the 1988 original. I had a fun cameo in it, along with Michelle Bauer. Now streaming at FullMoonFeatures.com. It'll be released on DVD and Blu-ray in April 2023. The reviews and fan response have all been very enthusiastic and positive. The highly anticipated "Terror Toons 4: Personal Demons" has been making the film festival circuit and garnering many awards. It will soon be available on DVD. The new documentary "Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection" is now available on multiple streaming platforms. The many interviews from "Comic-Con Begins" podcast have been collected into a recently published book called "See You at San Diego" by Matthew Klickstein. Wishing you all a wonderful new year ahead!

September 1, 2021

2021 has been a very busy year so far, with six movies finished and four more yet to shoot. My new films include "Mark of the Devil 777", "Arachnado 2", "Ebola Rex vs. the Murder Hornets", "Infernum Obscura", "Syfy Shark", and "Terror Toons 4" (an anthology collection that will feature my own "Personal Demons" film as well). I also participated in several Blu-ray special edition releases of past classics such as "Haunting Fear", "Shock Cinema", and "Bryan Loves You".

I was interviewed for two new documentaries, one about my late-husband artist Dave Stevens. The other is all about Dukey Flyswatter & Haunted Garage, a horror-punk actor and his band who appeared in many 1980s B-movies and also provided music for several soundtracks.

As of this writing, you can still listen for free to my latest audio narration of "Comic-Con Begins", a 6-hr oral history of the San Diego Comic-Con for SiriusXM radio. Here's the link: Comic-Con-Begins

Sending you all my best wishes!

December 8, 2020

Back in January, I thought "Oh gosh, this is going to be my best year EVER!" I was slated to direct three feature films, act in ten movies, and be a guest at six conventions. Then 2020 abruptly morphed into that huge crazy challenge for the whole world. I hope you are all safe and well as this difficult year winds to an end.

Despite the Covid menace, I carefully shot EIGHT films this year… and stayed healthy! My new movies include: "Killer Keg", "Beast Beneath", "Stryx", "Slumber Party Slaughter Party 2", "Butcher's Bluff", "Arachnado", "Parole", and "Rattlers 2". I attended one fun horror show in February, "Cult Classics Con".

I've also been able to work from home, doing tons of Zoom interviews and radio plays like "No Sleep Tonight" and "Season 13". I was interviewed for a new documentary about 'cult cinema' — and I appear in "Skin: A History of Nudity in the Movies" as well as "The Emmanuelle Effect". I'll be the narrator of "Comic-Con Begins", a 6-hour Sirius podcast that's an oral history of San Diego Comic-Con, coming in Spring 2021.

Sending you all my best wishes for happy holidays! See you in 2021….

Love,
Brinke

December 30, 2019

2019 was another very productive year. I shot six new movies: "Eminence Hill" (a Western set in the 1800s), "Maya" (a spooky thriller), "Jaws of Los Angeles" (I played a marine biologist), "Camp Terror", "Beneath the Old Dark House (as a best-selling horror author), and "It Wants Blood".

I appeared in a Special Features interview for the Blu-ray release of "Grandmother's House" and the "Emmanuelle" series (upcoming in January 2020), as well as Dustin Ferguson's documentary "Direct to Video". Now available on DVD is "Xenophobia". And streaming on Amazon Prime is "Boggy Creek - the Bigfoot Series". I played a witch in the premier episode.

My newest audio book, "The Spawn of Lilith", was written by Dana Fredsti, the "#1 Best Selling horror author on Kindle". Set in Hollywood, it's a wickedly funny mix of filmmaking and the supernatural. Now available on Audible.

I wrote a script called "Tears of a Clown" for Grant Waldman (who directed my "Teenage Exorcist" screenplay in 1991). We'll shoot this film sometime in 2020 in Cocoa Beach FL, and I'll be a co-director! I'm also slated to co-direct a remake of "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama" in early 2020.

Brinke

January 20, 2018

Hello! I hope 2018 is treating everyone well so far. I'm so pleased that it looks like another busy year for me. In February, I'll shoot Theo Lemasters' movie "Super Special" in Alabama, playing a crazy cat lady who confronts a crazy killer. In March, I've got a great role in Dustin Ferguson's "Purge of the Demon", as sort of a Mafia enforcer-type. In May, I will play the family matriarch in "Innocence Lost", written and directed by Shonna Bedford — a film about human trafficking as seen from the eyes of a victim.

My recent film "Stirring" is already receiving some very positive reviews. PopHorror.com, iHorror.com and The Horror Syndicate each gave it massive praise. Later this month, I'll attend the screening of another film I shot last year, "The Invisible Mother", where I played a TV Psychic.

Finally, my own movie "Personal Demons" is finished! I wrote, directed, and co-starred with Linnea Quigley, Debbie Rochon, and Billy Butler. Its theatrical premiere is on January 27 in Los Angeles.

Currently, I'm recording my fourth audio book, "Grave of Ashes", for author Glenn Porzig's "Darkness Unbound" series. Audible will carry it in a few months. Meanwhile, the Kindle version can be found here.

July 3, 2017

In June, I had a blast shooting Troy Escamilla's "Stirring" in Houston TX. It's a Christmas-themed horror film, like "Silent Night Deadly Night". I play a cop who's tracking a serial killer on a college campus.

I'm pleased to announce that I've been added to the cast of two new series. Mark Redfield's "SEASON 13: The Radio Plays" is a 7-part audio series that will premiere this fall on Audible. We'll record it in Seattle WA in July and August. I play Victoria, a famous leading lady of the Broadway stage who's now a ghost that haunts the Majestic Theatre. Details here.

Also this summer, I'll head to Orlando FL to shoot Rick Danford's "DAWN AND THE DEAD" web series. Click here for all the details. I play Angelica, "a beautiful and mysterious woman who is at the heart of an evil plan being played out. But whose side is she on and what secrets does she hold?" I'll also be a guest-director for at least one of the episodes.

Brinke

Sending all of you my best wishes for a happy, healthy, and successful 2017. I had a dynamite year in 2016— I shot six new movies, including the big-budget "Death House". It has an amazing cast of horror icons; I did a scene with the delightful Barbara Crampton!

I also recorded another new audio book, the third volume of Glenn Porzig's gothic horror trilogy: "Darkness Unbound: Shadow of Death". It's now available on Amazon, iTunes, and here on Audible. As well, I've continued to expand my audio business by doing voiceover work on three films: "The Small Woman in Grey" (UK), "Hot Tub Party Massacre" (Canada), and an animated "Dr. Who" series (Australia). It's so exciting to be able to work globally from my own home-recording studio!

I'm excited about several upcoming movie projects, including "The Stirring" (I'll play a campus security guard who confronts a serial killer), and "The Possession of Mia Moss" (a sequel to "The Haunting of Mia Moss", formerly titled "If I Die"). I've also added two 2017 conventions, so check that out and come see me if you live nearby!

I've just added a unique new product to my store here. A racy DVD slideshow of my early modeling shots for artist Dave Stevens, many of which he utilized for "Bettie" in THE ROCKETEER comic books.

Brinke

October 15, 2014

Hello, I'm back! Welcome to my new and improved website.

Lately, I've been a busy lady as usual. I played the President of the United States in "The Silicon Assassin". A small-town sheriff in "Axeman". A soldier's mother in "Adam K", and the ill-fated stepmom in "Lizzie Borden's Revenge". A sexy demon in "Disciples". And exciting roles in "Safe Inside", "No Strings 2", "Head Cases", "Die Sister Die!". I also teamed up with my favorite SQs Linnea & Michelle in: "3 Scream Queens", "Trophy Heads", and "The Trouble with Barry". What a treat to still be working together!

"Personal Demons" is my latest project. I wrote, starred in, and directed (first time ever!) this story of temptation and redemption, due for release in summer 2015 (under "Terror Toons 4" banner).

I'm also cleaning out my cabinets... and everyone wins! I'll be offering more fabulous treasures on eBay soon. This will be my auction link: http://shop.ebay.com/brinkestevens/m.html

Thanks for finding me again! I missed you, too....
